Connecting to the world for God's glory

Bridgeway’s Vision for Missions

At Bridgeway, missions are a regular part of church life. Worship has a focus on God’s global purpose for the nations. We regularly pray for the ways God is at work in His world. God’s world, as described in Acts 1:8, extends from our local neighborhoods to the ends of the world.

We establish long-term partnerships with ministries that use a holistic approach to missions. We believe that presenting the whole gospel to the whole man/family is the most biblical way to live out and share the Gospel of Christ.

To connect the Bridgeway body to the world we offer regular mission trip opportunities. These experiences are created to encourage families, singles, young, and old to participate. Participating includes going on the trip, praying for the trip, and supporting those who are going. These inter-generational teams also invite others from outside our body to participate.

Bridgeway is a place where children and adults are trained/equipped in a transformational way to become world Christians with Christ’s heart for the nations.

Recent Short-Term Mission Trip:

One of the ways BW connects to the world is through mission trips. Each spring break BW sends 15-30 people to Jackson County KY to serve along side a local ministry organization. We help with remodeling projects of people’s homes, work in a second-hand store, help with campus grounds maintenance, lead worship for a local Christian school, and many other things. This multi-faceted ministry gives people of all ages ways to experience missions and service. This is also a great time to cultivate relationships with each other.

In 2009 the trip was a great opportunity to build God’s kingdom and serve the people of Jackson County…. Read more about the trip as the team blogged about it…  http://bridgewayky.blogspot.com/
